Transforming classic DEVS models to SDL

 In this paper we present an algorithm implemented on a simulation infrastructure that allows the transformation of a simulation model represented using DEVS formalism to the Specification and Description Language. This algorithm allows using both formalisms in a single model, and also represents a mechanism to represent graphically DEVS models. Specification and Description Language is an ITU-T standard and tools understand this language. Thanks to this transformation these tools can be used to implement DEVS models too. To allow the implementation of the algorithm we present an XML representation for DEVS and SDL models. This algorithm is currently implemented in a simulation infrastructure, allowing the practical use of this transformation method.
